Mission Statement

As part of Gateway Community Church’s Foster Love Ministry, the Foster Love Closet seeks to serve and support the needs of foster, adoptive and kinship families in and around Collin County. Entrenched in Gateway’s belief that “Children are a priority for Jesus and are a priority for us,” the Foster Love closet provides clothing and other needed items for children in foster care, while simultaneously offering multi-faceted support to the families entrusted to love and nurture God’s children who are in care.

James 1:27

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Deuteronomy 10:18

He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.
