Day Twenty-four | October 17

The Anointing Brings Harmony

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows His blessing, even life forevermore.”
Psalm 133

If you’ve ever watched The Office, you know it’s full of very different personalities—Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam, and many others. They argue, prank each other, and sometimes clash over their wildly different styles and ideas. Remember the episode where the office had to come together to save the company’s big client? Despite all their bickering and distractions—like Dwight’s eccentric antics and Michael’s awkward leadership—they pulled together, focused on the goal, and worked as a team to secure the deal. It wasn’t perfect, but their unity made all the difference.

In the same way, Gateway faces a world full of hurting people. We can’t afford to be a church that spends its time divided by disagreements over things that won’t matter in eternity. We must bring our differences before the Lord and let Him unite us through His Spirit.

The Holy Spirit calls us to live with humility, gentleness, and patience—bearing with one another in love and making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. This anointing brings harmony.

Reflection Question:

What differences or conflicts do you see around Gateway that need God’s unifying power? How can you personally help build unity and harmony among believers?

Prayer Focus:

Pray that as Gateway moves forward in fulfilling the dream God has given us, we will experience deep and genuine harmony through the Holy Spirit’s presence. Ask God to show you specific ways you can contribute to the unity of our church family.
