We are launching a 40 Days of Prayer initiative, starting September 24, to seek the heart and will of God as we prepare to transition from Gateway Community Church to Harvest City Church. We are thrilled about the vision God has given us to reach more people for Christ in community and beyond.

Our church has experienced significant growth over the past couple of years that has taken us from a church attendance around 750 to our current attendance of more than 1,000. The stories I hear of how God is changing lives provides the fuel to continue sharing the good news with those in our growing community.

Because our mission statement is To Know Christ, Live out our Faith, and Change our World, we need to seek God and ask Him to provide the resources to make necessary improvements and expand our current facilities to handle the growth. 

Will you join me in a short but focused devotional and prayer time for the next 40 days? I’m counting on our church family to collectively seek God to be the Great Provider. I believe He is the one who has brought us this far and that He is the one who will lead and provide for what He has already planned. 

By spending the next 40 days in prayer together we will prepare ourselves to be used by God to expand His Kingdom in bigger ways than we have ever imagined. Let’s pray together every morning for the next 40 days and see what God does! Because scripture tells us what to expect, I’m confident that God will do exceedingly abundantly beyond what we ask or pray for! (Ephesians 3:20)
