God’s Great Relocation Project

“Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, ‘We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.’”
—Numbers 13:30

God is in the moving business. Throughout Scripture, He is consistently calling His people forward—out of comfort zones, into unknown territory, and toward greater purpose. While we often grow content where we are, God loves us too much to leave us there.

The Israelites are a vivid example. After God delivered them from slavery in Egypt through a series of miraculous events, they stood on the threshold of the Promised Land. But instead of moving forward in faith, fear set in. In Numbers 14:3, they cried, “Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?” God had taken them out of Egypt, but Egypt hadn’t yet come out of them.

How often do we act the same way—hesitating to embrace what God has next because we’re still clinging to what’s familiar? Caleb’s bold response in Numbers 13:30 challenges us: “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” That’s the voice of faith.

At Gateway, we believe God has begun a great work. Like the Israelites, we stand on the edge of something new. Paul reminds us in Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

This is God’s project, and He will see it through. Our role is to follow in faith, trusting the One who moves us forward.

Reflection Question:

Where might God be calling you to move forward in faith—even if it feels uncertain or unfamiliar?

Prayer Focus:

Pray that God will continue to lead the way and that our faith will remain strong as we follow the vision He has given Gateway. Thank Him for loving you enough not to leave you where you are—and for the privilege of being part of Gateway during this exciting chapter of Kingdom growth.
